The K1 and K2 Sibanye operations operated and maintained by Minopex since inception has been setting the tone in the platinum sector by breaking all records on Production from month to month attaining the best quarter 3 performance of 129758 tons above plan and attaining an all-time record on tonnages processed in September 2018.

Recoveries achieved on both operations were outstanding and achieved 84.13 % all time high at k1 and 83.22 % all time high at k2 on UG2 material even with current design and power limitation on grind. These operations are also one of the lowest cost concentrators if not the lowest and achieved R89.43/ton for September 2018. K1 plant alone attaining R83/ton all-inclusive concentrator costs.
