INTRODUCING THE DRA-MINOPEX GRADUATE EXCHANGE PROGRAM

With a clear vision of developing future talent across multiple skillsets, DRA and Minopex have embarked on a graduate exchange program. With hands-on experience, specialised training, access to specialists in both the Design, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) fields, these young minds will be geared to be next-generation leaders.

Minopex Graduates have been transferred to DRA to obtain exposure to the process design team. Coupled with their mineral processing operations experience, the exposure will give them the opportunity to broaden their horizons in the mineral processing field by sharpening their skills starting from the fundamentals in process design, forging ahead into studies and projects.

DRA Global graduates have been transferred to one of Minopex operating sites. Operational and Maintenance knowledge underpins the design of any processing plant. The experience and learnings from the site will assist them to continue their journey towards registering as Professional Engineers.

“As a young process engineer, I was excited about the opportunity to partake in the DRA-Minopex exchange programme. I believe the programme is structured to provide valuable insight into the operational challenges faced on site. Being exposed to such challenges firsthand allows an engineer to develop understanding and effectively take cognizance of such problems in the initial design process. In the long run, this will ensure design solutions are more practical and robust, providing an ease of continuity for the handover to the operations team”

says Shalia Perumal, DRA Junior Engineer.
