DRA Global and Minopex are deeply saddened to advise that our colleague, Mr Anton Venter, a UMM employee at the Palabora Mining Company (PMC) Underground Project in Phalaborwa, Limpopo, was fatally injured on 12 June 2025. 

We extend our sincere and deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and colleagues of Mr Venter. A loss of life is always a tragedy, and we are providing support to those affected during this incredibly difficult time. 

We are working with the client and local authorities to fully understand the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident, while also conducting an internal review. 

The company remains committed to supporting those impacted, with the health, safety and wellbeing of all continuing to be our highest priority.
