Empowering Learners, Strengthening Communities

As a key partner in this impactful initiative, Minopex played a vital role in bringing this initiative to life, reaffirming its dedication to social responsibility. The company’s ongoing support has significantly expanded the reach and impact of the LoveDrive Campaign, ensuring that more children receive the essential resources they need to succeed academically.

Kenny Hlaise, Founder and Chairman of the Ndaa Foundation, shared a deeply personal connection to Bovet Primary School, reflecting on his own childhood experiences. "I attended this school and saw firsthand the struggles of my classmates, especially those who couldn’t afford school uniforms. I vividly remember a friend being embarrassed by the principal for not having the proper attire. In 2017, I chose to make a difference—foregoing a birthday celebration to donate school shoes and uniforms instead. Since then, this has become an annual tradition, proving that charity truly begins at home."

The event was met with gratitude and enthusiasm from students and staff alike. Learners were thrilled to receive school essentials that would not only boost their confidence but also enhance their educational experience. "This year’s LoveDrive theme emphasizes the importance of addressing teenage pregnancy while spreading love and support to young learners," Hlaise explained. "With Minopex’s continued support, we can extend our reach and create lasting change, year after year."

Minopex’s Commitment to Education and Social Impact

A highlight of the event was a speech delivered by Peace Ntuli, Group Community and Stakeholder Relations Manager at Minopex, who encouraged learners to embrace discipline, education, and positive role models. "Listen to your parents, listen to your teachers, and most importantly, be role models yourselves. We are here to guide and support you because investing in your future means investing in the future of our communities."

Mr. Justice Mashaba, a teacher at Bovet Primary School, emphasized the challenges many students face daily. "Some learners come to school without proper uniforms, while others arrive on empty stomachs. The contributions from the Ndaa Foundation and Minopex have made a tangible difference. Many students who have benefited from these donations have gone on to pass matric, proving that hope and support can truly transform lives."

Adding to the occasion, celebrity presenter and actor Siphesihle Vazi, along with Dr. Ayanda Hlongwane, a pastor, joined the event to inspire and uplift the students.

Building a Brighter Future, One Child at a Time

Thanks to the strong partnership between Minopex and the Ndaa Foundation, the Annual LoveDrive Campaign continues to grow, positively impacting more children each year. By championing education and community development, Minopex is not only providing essential resources but also shaping a brighter future for South Africa’s youth.

Rashid Kader, Executive Vice President – Global Operations, reinforced this commitment, stating: "By investing in education and community development, Minopex is not just providing resources—it is paving the way for a better future for our youth."

Elgie Blignaut, Vice President of Human Resources: Operations and Advisory, echoed this sentiment: "Initiatives like these leave learners with a renewed sense of hope. Each child walks away not only

with a new pair of school shoes but also with the confidence to chase their dreams, knowing they have the support of Minopex and its partners."

The event concluded on a heartwarming note, with children filled with joy and a strengthened sense of purpose. Through its steadfast commitment to education and social impact, Minopex continues to be a driving force in transforming communities—one learner at a time.
